New feature of “Challan Correction” introduced in Income Tax Portal

 

 

The Income Tax India portal has introduced a new feature called “Challan Correction,” accessible through the path Dashboard > Services > Challan Correction.

However, the correction can be done only if it is done within a period of 7 days and not if the correction related to the older challans. For the correction of the older challan, taxpayer would be required to approach the jurisdictional Assessing Officer only.
