TAX AUDIT REPORT & INCOME TAX RETURN FILING DATE EXTENDED TO 31st October 2018.
It was much awaited news and has given a respite to the tax professionals and the taxpayers.
This has been twitted by at the income tax department at the twitter page.
The date extension still has been done half heartedly with a rider that interest u/’s 23A will still be applicable.
It may be noted that Rajasthan High Court has given an instructions to the CBDT to consider the date extension. However, it was not just a request to “consider” and direction to extension.
All things apart, The present extension has given much sought relief to the taxpayers.
