ROC Bangalore imposed penalty of Rs. 2.25 Lakh for failure to make ‘‘Appointment of Internal Auditor’’ u/s 138(1) & (2) r/w Rule 13(1) Of the Companies (Accounts) Rules, 2014
ROC BANGALORE IMPOSED PENALTY OF ₹2.25 LAKH ON COMPANY & ITS DIRECTORS FOR NON – COMPLIANCE OF ‘‘Appointment of Internal Auditor’’ u/s 138(1) & (2) r/w Rule 13(1) Of the Companies (Accounts) Rules, 2014.
It was all in the matter of M/s SPIEGEL ENTERPRISES PRIVATE LIMITED.
During the course of inquiry, it was found that the company had not appointed an Internal Auditor since the financial year 2015-16, despite having a turnover exceeding the prescribed threshold. Accordingly, ROC imposed a penalty of ₹1 lakh on the company and ₹1.25 lakh on its directors for the said violation.
