Delay in appointment of Women Director – ROC imposed a penalty of Rs. 3.43 Lakh on the company and its Directors
THE ROC, NCT OF DELHI & HARYANA, IMPOSED A PENALTY OF ₹ 3.43 LAKH ON A COMPANY & ITS DIRECTORS FOR DELAY IN APPOINTMENT OF A WOMAN DIRECTOR AS REQ UNDER SEC 149 READ WITH RULE 3 OF THE COMPANIES (APPOINTMENT AND QUALIFICATION OF DIRECTORS) RULES, 2014.
Reason for Non-Compliance: The company made its efforts to appoint an appropriate person as (Women Director), but those efforts are not fruitful. Resulting in a delay of 189 and 98 days, respectively.
In the matter of M/s. CAPARO MARUTI LIMITED. ROC imposed a penalty of ₹1.44 Lakh on the company and ₹1.99 lakh on its directors for violation of Section 149 of the Companies Act, 2013.
