Not followed the CBDT Circular: Court imposed cost on the CIT & ordered interest on refund @9%
Here is a Judgment of Punjab & Haryana High Court wherein not only interest on refund has been ordered @9% as well as awarded cost, as CIT had not followed the CBDT Circular.
These sort of judgments would go a long way in putting the Departmental officers accountable.
