Error in filing ITR 7 if section 44AB option is not selected

 

 

Query –

 We are trying to file the Income Tax Return of an Charitable Organisation in FROM ITR-7, but while filing the return, the error is showing as the 44AB is not selected as YES, but we are not liable to audit u/s 44AB, that is why we have selected as NO. kindly resolve the issue and inform so that we can file the return.

 Resolution : Dear Taxpayer, Please select “yes” to the question appearing on portal as ‘Are you audited u/s 44AAB” in case you have audited under any section in ITR and then try uploading the JSON. Section 44AB is used as common term for all audit sections selected in ITR and applicable for ITR7also. Please note this is only for return uploading purpose on screen and will not impact any data furnished in ITR.
