Date Extension: Is it because of the taxpayer’s fault?

There are many taxpayers & assocaions who are demanding for the extension of the due date of income tax returns and tax audit reports.
The question arises as to why the date extension is needed.
The prima facie impression is that the taxpayers are non compliant and casual and so the date extension is soguht. Is this the fact?
The following activity reveals that the date extension is required because the other side was more at fault.
Rather, one can say that the date extension is required because of the fault of the Department on several fronts.
The date extension is required because,
1. At the peak time of return filing season, the new income tax portal is launched which has resulted in a lot of hardship since its launching. It is still continuing. Is it the taxpayers fault?
2. The utilities for ITR-1, ITR-2 and ITR-4 have been notified but there are so many frequent changes in the schemas and utilities. Why to change in the middle of the return filing activities?
3. ITR 5 was updated on 9th December, 2021 and ITR 6 is on 3rd December, 2021. Even the Income Tax Audit Forms 3CA, 3CB and 3CD latest version was released on 9th December, 2021. The software companies also take time to update the same and hence the filling gets delayed. Is it the taxpayers fault?
4. The web portal is not allowing and not accepting Audit Report in Form No. 10B in many cases which causes many hardships. Is it the taxpayers fault?
5. AIS and TIS have been made available in the last month only. Why so much delay? Verification and reconciliation of AIS data can be done on the figure tips? Is it the taxpayers fault?
6. New ITD Portal is still not fully functional & not glitch free. Taxpayers are required to dance as per the wish of the new portal. Is it the taxpayers fault?
7. Taxpayers are finding it difficult to find the data of earlier years which is also at times relevant for return filing. Is it the taxpayers fault?
8. Form No. 26AS is not getting downloaded 24/7 but one has to be at the mercy of the portal for getting it. Is it the taxpayers fault?
9.  There are problems in getting the OTP for various validation. One has to keep waiting for the OTP and has to pray to God for getting the OTP. Is it the taxpayers ‘ fault?
10. There are various places where there is trouble in uploading the details & attaching the files which is also creating the trouble while working over the portal. Is it the taxpayers fault?
11. The problem of registering the DSC has been a well known problem for the last 3 months. Is it the taxpayers fault?
12.  There are serious problems in submitting the Audit report in Form No. 10B. Is it the taxpayers fault?
13.  The Tax Audit report in Form No. 3CA / 3CB & 3CD is not getting filed. Is it the taxpayers fault?
14. The biggest problem which has persisted since long is registering the legal heir at the portal. Is it the taxpayers fault?
15. The taxpayers are not able to download the copy of the ITR after its filing. Taxpayers are feeling helpless after not being able to download it. Is it the taxpayers fault?
16. There are severe issues in e-services and other access in the features. Is it the taxpayers fault?
