Is it fun to harass the Taxpayers?

The last minute changes have become a fun for the tax collector?

First of all, the income tax returns forms are notified after 2 ½ months of delay i.e. were notified on 20^th July 2018. Then every now and then the income tax returns are changed. Then the forms are also amended to enjoy the show.

Even there are occasion when the taxpayer are not allowed (by not giving proper facilities) to file the return due to infrastructural problem of handling work load at www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

Why so much fun?

As if this was not enough, the department changed the schema and utility for tax audit report. In the last 40 days even the schema for tax audit report  was changed 5 times  on 20^th July, 1^st August, 20^th August for 2 times, 1^st September. Is it trial and error at the cost of the taxpayers? All know the way the request of the professionals are handled for date extension? Still, professionals are not able to make an apt reply to the mess up done in the taxation system. The request for extension of date for filing tax audit report by the taxpayer & tax professionals were handled like the request of the “Beggars” Though it is extended by 15 days, it is conveyed as if “great favor”.

Is this not enough?

There is fine of from Rs. 1,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- on the taxpayer for late filing of the income tax return. However, there is not a fine of token Rs. 1 only on the tax collector for the mockery they are making. Tax collector need to understand that the taxpayers are the respected citizen of the country. Why make so much fun. Let us no harass the taxpayer.

Frequent changes in the law and procedure are nothing short of tax TERRORISM.

Anyone responsible for such harassment?
