The status of Kerala High court was not known till then.

Interesting part is that there is one more hope in the form of Kerala High Court.

The case is fixed for hearing on 10.10.2018 i.e., the date which Rajasthan High Court has also referred to CBDT for re- consideration of tax audit report date as well as for interest levy u/s 234A.

It is also learned that one more writ is likely to be filed in Kerala by traders association for date extension.

It may so happen that the CBDT may extend the date for tax audit for Kerala alone as it has suffered natural calamities and there exists a special reason for date extension.

The Kerala Writ also has a request for date extension to this effect.

The professionals across the country are waiting for the results of Gujarat High Court as well as Keralal High Court. More particularly, Gujarat High Court judgement is awaited as it may instruct CBDT to extend the date unconditionally.

Let us hope something positive happens either at Gujarat HC or at Kerala HC.
