A third on Jewellers: CCTV to be installed & monitored by GST & Police

Tax Department of the country are evolving different methods to control the parallel economy. E-way bill, online Billing system, monthly TDS on purchase transactions, Monthly GST return, etc  were steps in that direction only.

Earlier, it was the builders lobby where black money parking used to be there in the entire country. However, with stamp duty valuation as a benchmark for stamp duty and income tax purposes, the parking has been  blocked to a great extent. Now, entire focus is shifted to the Jewellers post demonetisation.

Now, there is yet another mechanism proposed to have a proper control over the business which may set an altogether new trend.

 GST Kerala is proposing to make the presence of CCTV camera which will be under strong vigilance of the GST Department & Police.

Let’s hold on and see what lie ahead in these newer proposed mechanisms. One thing is sure, the CCTV industry is sure to zoom in the coming days. The privacy of every Individual is all set on a toss.

One thing is sure, This is going to be a tough time ahead. The Hallmark & CCTV regulation may put jewelers on a strong regulation in days to come.  The more may follow.
